Why composite
Composite boards are made from wood fibre and recycled plastic, with a tough outer shell on the better ranges. They don't need staining or oiling, they won't splinter under bare feet, and a wash down in spring keeps them looking fresh.
They cost more than treated timber at the start. Over ten years, with no stain, no sanding and no replacing split boards, many people find the sums even out.

How it works
Answer a few quick questions. It takes about a minute.
We measure, check the ground and bring full-size boards so you can see them against your house.
You get a written quote for the whole job. No surprises later.
Frame, boards, fascia, steps and a tidy-up. One contact from start to handover.
Greys look different against red brick than against render. Our colour consultation brings full-length boards to your garden, so you choose with confidence.
Most decks in our Classic and Signature packages take two to four days once work starts. Larger or multi-level decks take longer; your quote gives you the time to expect.
Most garden decks don't, as long as the deck is no more than 30cm above the ground and, with other extensions and outbuildings, covers no more than half the garden. Raised decks, flats and listed homes are different. We'll flag it at the survey if it applies.
Often, yes. A sound patio can make a good base for a low-profile frame. We check the level, the drainage and how high the finished deck will sit against your doors before we suggest it.
Newcastle is where most of our decks go in, but we survey and fit right across the North East, from Northumberland down to County Durham and Teesside.
Darker boards warm up in strong sun, so lighter greys suit south-facing gardens. The grooved and embossed surfaces grip well; like any outdoor surface, keep them clear of moss and leaves over winter.
